City turn attention to Donovan
Manchester City manager Roberto Mancini has revealed that Landon Donovan is also on his summer shopping list.
Mancini has spoken of his admiration for the USA international, who spent time on loan in the Premier League with Everton last season.
The 28-year-old Los Angeles Galaxy forward made ten appearances and scored two goals while on Merseyside.
"Landon Donovan is a good player," said Mancini. "It's possible."
Meanwhile, City appear to have moved a step closer to signing Internazionale striker Mario Balotelli.
The 19-year-old frontman has been linked with £25million moves to Eastlands and also city rivals Manchester United in recent weeks.
Now Inter president Massimo Moratti has admitted for the first time that Balotelli could be sold.
"We don't completely reject an offer without hearing it," he explained.
"We don't put the phone down on anyone."
City have already spent £60million this summer on World Cup trio David Silva, Yaya Toure and Jerome Boateng.Subscribe to Football FanCast News Headlines by Email
