Tottenham fans react to rumour they want to re-sign Gareth Bale

According to reports in The Mirror, Tottenham Hotspur have been placed on alert by the fact that Real Madrid are willing to sell Gareth Bale for £85m, and Spurs fans have been quick to have their say on the rumour.

The Mirror says that the Spanish giants have become increasingly frustrated at his frequent injury problems, with his latest thigh issue likely to keep him out until the New Year.

The report adds that the La Liga outfit are open to offers for the 28-year-old, with Mauricio Pochettino a confirmed admirer of the former Spurs star, who scored 55 goals in 203 appearances in all competitions for the north London outfit previously.

Tottenham supporters took to social media to give their thoughts on the story, and while one said “he’s not worth more than £50m”, another said “he is exactly the kind of player we’re missing”.
